Supporting adults through insight-oriented, relational therapy
Welcome to Seacoast Therapy Maine
Reaching out for support during challenging times can be daunting and my hope is that I can meet you where you are and walk alongside you to create lasting and meaningful change in your life. As a relational therapist, I believe that our relationships with those in our lives directly impact our worldview and experiences. I find that the client-therapist relationship is fundamental to a positive and impactful therapy experience and can mimic clients’ relationships outside of the therapy space. I utilize a strengths-based approach as a foundation from which clients can grow and also appreciate bringing humor into the therapy space. Whether we are reflecting on the struggles of a particular week or having ongoing sessions focusing on a challenging period of time or experience, I arrive at every session in a present and open-minded way.
It’s nice to meet you
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience working with adults. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University and my master of science in social work from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in clinical practice. I spent the first five years of my career in an outpatient geriatrics and primary care clinic at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago offering supportive counseling to patients and caregivers and then worked as a clinical director and psychotherapist at a small therapy practice in Chicago for 3 years. I enjoy working with clients who are in their 20’s through their 90’s and find that the challenges of the human experience are shared across generations. I am so happy to be back in Maine, where I grew up, and enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, daughter, and dog, as well as cooking, reading, and connecting with loved ones.
